UBIT Service Organizations
Academic Services
- ASCIT provides information technology products and services for students, faculty, researchers, and staff to facilitate learning, teaching, and research. Service areas include Client Services, Instructional Technology Services (ITS), and UBMicro IT Support Programs.
Administrative Computing Services (ACS)
- ACS develops student information systems, as well as other information systems which support the day-to-day business operations of the University.
Operational Support Services (OSS)
- OSS provides the campus network infrastructure and networking services. The OSS web site includes News concerning the UB Network, General Information about OSS including Network Management and Statistics, and Services including Repair Services and Dial-in Access.
- Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS)
- EIS is responsible for core academic and infrastructure computing services, such as: directory services, authentication and authorization, email and postmaster, login and statistics servers, and Domain Name Service (DNS). They also provide an array of web services including hosting websites, web-based authentication, and database hosting for the web.
- LAN Systems
LAN Systems researches and integrates Local Area Network (LAN) Technology through cooperative involvement in response to the University Community's evolving technical needs.
- Enterprise Research Computing Services (ERCS)
- ERCS is charged with the support of UB's research mission by fostering collaboration between the research community and the distributed and central information technology communities, with the objective of increasing researcher productivity through improved information technology services.
- Client Technologies
- Client Technologies coordinates and provides IT support for individuals in the Office of the Provost and the Executive Vice President for University Support Services units.

Information Security Office
- The Information Security Office maintains and monitors a comprehensive enterprise information security policy and compliance program for the University of Buffalo.
